We are committed to using the power of sport to address some the most challenging problems facing children and youth in America’s diverse communities. Through our Sport for Good Cities program, we play the backbone role in uniting stakeholders, providing resources and driving collaboration at the local level.
We believe that to create lasting change in communities, all sectors must be involved. Our approach connects volunteer and professional coaches, educators and schools, parks and recreation systems, youth development professionals, social service organizations, and sport-based youth development non-profits to a network of resources. These individuals then work together to ensure that more children and youth have access to high quality, youth-centered sports programs, allowing communities across the United States to unleash the power of sport. Long-term, we aim increase physical and mental health, improve educational and employment outcomes, and address critical social justice issues city-wide.
To support collaboration, we launched the Sport for Good League, an online community that connects people using sport for social change.
