Laureus Youth Leadership Summit

We empowered youth to represent the views of their peers and highlighted the role that sport can play in developing leadership skills.

The Laureus Youth Leadership Summit is a conference dedicated to empowering young leaders and strengthening youth-serving programs. During the week of the ESPYs and the ESPN Humanitarian Awards, the Summit put youth voice at the center of the conversation as we explored the role sport can play in building leaders. We provided platform for 100 youth from across the country to connect with 100 athletes and executives, and share their insights on how to best design youth-serving programs.

Youth Leadership

Council

The Youth Leadership Summit is for young people, by young people. To help inform the Summit, we created a national council of high school students from Laureus-supported programs. Leading up to the Summit, the council met regularly to formulate topics and ensure maximum relevance to young people today.
